Iraq. BP Co. conclude contract to build oil anchor in Basra post

(IraqiNews.com) British oil (BP) Company concluded a contract with Iraq to build new oil anchor in Khor al-Zubair Port of Basra province.

Spokesperson of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Anmar al-Safi said “The Company concluded this week ,a five-year contract with BP Co. to build oil anchor to replace the dilapidated oil anchor,” noting ” the British company received the project site on last Tuesday.”

Safi stated “BP Co. will help Iraq to build advanced oil anchor to receive the refined oil products shipments also to export the oil products in future.”

The spokesperson of the BP said “The first phase of the of this project will include using fixed importing utility and improving the capacity to bring larger amounts of oil products, declining to mention the financial details of the contract.”
