Iraq receives 80,000 tons of wheat, rice for ration card
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: New dispatches of Canadian wheat and Uruguayan rice arrived in Basra’s Umm-Qasr port for supplying the ration cards’ needs, the Iraqi Trade Ministry said on Wednesday. “The cargo consists of 50 thousand tons of wheat and 30,575 tons of rice,” the Ministry said in a release received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The quantities will be distributed on provinces relying on population and demand,” it added. Through the ration card, Iraq consumes more than 330 thousand tons of wheat and 90 thousand tons of rice every month. MH (P)/ SH 1
