Iraqi trade ministry delegation in Cairo

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A delegation from the Iraqi Trade Ministry is currently in the Egyptian capital Cairo to discuss with the Romanian trade counselor Iraq’s investment law and the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries, a ministry release said. “The Romanian trade counselor, during his visit to the Iraqi pavilion at the annual Cairo International Fair, had talks with the Iraqi trade ministry delegation on investment in Iraq and means to sign an MoU on holding specialized exhibitions in both countries,” read the release as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Last February, the Iraqi Trade Ministry had announced that it would attend the 42nd edition of the Cairo International Fair, held on March 21-30. The delegation, the release added, also had talks with a number of Egyptian investors and encouraged them to invest in Iraq after security conditions improved and a law on investment was enacted.
