Issawi: Cabinet to discuss Baghdad-Erbil agreement over oil exports
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Minister of Finance, Rafi al-Issawi, stressed that “The law draft of the agreement that was reached recently between the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government will be discussed within the agenda of the next session of the Cabinet.”
Issawi stated to IraqiNews.com “Baghdad-Erbil agreement concerning the oil exports will be discussed in the Cabinet’s session on next Tuesday and when the law is endorsed then the dues of the companies working in the from the general budget, the Minister clarified that “We do not think there are such threats but what happened recently is that the mutual commission between the two Governments of both sides approved IQD 650 billion as dues for the oil companies operating in the Federal Government reached an agreement with Kurdistan RegionG about paying the financial dues of the oil foreign companies operating in the oil production of the Premier Nouri al-Maliki called the Parliament to speed up endorsing the Oil and Gas law draft.
