ISX index down by 3.7% on Tuesday

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Stock Exchange (ISX) index went down by 3.759 percent to settle at 251.121 points, during Tuesday’s session. Traded shares in Tuesday’s session exceeded 658 million at a total value of over 773 million dinars ($665 thousand) by implementing 612 contracts. Shares in 25 companies were traded in today’s session, of which three shares jumped, nine slumped, and 13 maintained their previous levels. The investment sector achieved the highest number of trading shares with 51.5 percent. The Iraqi Stock Exchange, established under Law No. 74 of the year 2004, held its first session on June 24, 2004. The stock market holds three sessions a week: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
