ISX index up on Thurs.
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Stock Exchange (ISX) index was up by 0.746 percent to settle at 57.891 points at the closing of Thursday’s session, the last this week. Traded shares in Thursday’s session exceeded 668 million at a total value of over 1.03 billion Iraqi dinars (nearly $881,000) by implementing 200 contracts. The banking sector achieved the highest trading volume, while the banking sector came second. Non-Iraqi investors participated by implementing 23 contracts. The banking sector achieved a trading volume of 87.1 percent and a number of traded shares of 87.3 percent. Shares of 13 banking companies were traded, of which shares of six companies went down, two went up and five maintained their previous levels. Shares of 35 companies were traded in today’s session, of which eight shares jumped, 13 slumped and 14 others maintained their previous levels. SS (P) 1
