Italian company in Iraqi gas project

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi cabinet on Sunday approved a €68.4 million project to develop a natural gas field near al-Qarna. “During its 11 th session, the cabinet has approved a request by the Oil Ministry to contract an Italian company to develop the gas field,” a statement quoted an official spokesperson for the Iraqi government, Ali al-Dabbagh, as saying. Work on the project will last 690 days, the statement noted. SS (P) 1
