Kirkuk oilfields production up to 670,000 bpd – source

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: The production of the Kirkuk oilfields increased from 580,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 670,000, according to an official source in the North Oil Company on Saturday. “The leap comes thanks to an increase in the number of oilfields in Kirkuk ,” Sameer Hameed Salhi, the company’s representative and planning chief, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The previous deterioration in security in a number of areas adjacent to Kirkuk has blocked development in production of the oilfields of Hamrin and Ain Zala, but now the company seeks to increase production in accordance with an accurate plan,” he added. The Kirkuk oilfields are exporting 550,000-650,000 bpd to the Turkish Mediterranean port of Ceyhan . AmR (P)/SR 1
