Lawmaker urges S. Korean firms to invest in Iraq
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The head of the parliamentary foreign relations committee has called on South Korean companies to invest in Iraq. The call came during a meeting between Hammam Hammoudi and the South Korean ambassador to Iraq, Ha Taeen, to discuss bilateral relations, according to a statement released by Hammoudi’s media office. “The two officials discussed investment issues and the formation of a parliamentary friendship committee…,” the statement noted. Hammoudi encouraged the companies to invest in Iraq, particularly in the fields of oil and basic services. “Basra and southern provinces provide the best environment for South Korean companies…,” Hammoudi noted.
