Lebanese economy minister in Kurdistan over investment

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Lebanese minister of economy and trade, who arrived earlier today in Arbil, said that his visit to the province aims to investigate investment opportunities in Iraq’s Kurdistan region. “We came today to place the experience of the Lebanese government and private sector experts in the fields of banking, real estate and industrial investment, alongside that of the regional government,” Minister Mohammed al-Safadi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The visit also aims to open the door to cooperation between the regional government and the Lebanese government,” Safadi noted. The Lebanese delegation, led by Safadi, had visited Arbil’s Chamber of Commerce and met with tradespeople and investors in the region. SS (P) 1
