Local companies undertake 5 projects in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Five services projects in different areas of Missan with a total cost of 4 billion dinars were referred to local companies within projects to develop provinces in 2008, the head of the reconstruction and development committee in Missan said on Wednesday. “The reconstruction and development committee at the Missan provincial council referred five projects for pavement works to a group of local companies in five neighborhoods; al-Hussein al-Jadeed, 15 Shaaban, al-Karama, al-Madares street and al-Quds street, with a total cost of 4 billion dinars,” Engineer Mouhan Mahi Shabieb told IraqiNews.com. “The projects are part of the development of provinces and speeding reconstruction budget in 2008.’ he noted. The Iraqi government has allocated 144 billion dinars to the local government in Missan for the development and reconstruction works. Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is al-Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River, Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad. Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran, is home to many marsh Arabs. SH (S) 1
