Minister of Electricity inaugurates Diesel Station in Baghdad
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Electricity, Karim Aftan al-Jumaili, inaugurated, on Monday, the Diesel Station of Shaheed Abdul Abbas Hashim (known earlier as Hurriya Station) in Baghdad. The station includes eight power generating units with a total capacity reaches 62 Mega Watts. Jumaili assured that “The Ministry is eager to provide electricity power for the citizens and to increase the hours of electric power on.” He praised “The engineering and technical cadres of the Directorate General of electricity Projects for their good performance.” He clarified that “The Diesel Station was equipped by the Lebanese Saqer Company, at a cost of $ 43 million and was implemented by the engineering and technical staff of the Directorate General of Electricity Projects.”
