MP attributes flounder of fiscal policy to government’s interference in CBI’s work

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Mohamed al-Lagash of the Citizen bloc attributed the flounder happening to the fiscal policy to the government’s intervention in the work of the Central Bank of Iraq.

Lagash told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Thursday “The rise of the US dollar price and the decrease of the IQD value is caused by the flounder of the fiscal policy and the government’s interference in the CBI’s performance.”

The CBI had promised to take measures to lift and stabilize the IQD price, however the deterioration of the IQD price is ongoing.

The employees and the retirees complain the high cost of living where their salaries are no longer enough to cover their needs. The high prices include the properties, rents as well as the means of transport, foods and the apparels.
