MP warns from consequences of increasing fuel prices

Baghdad (AIM) The official spokesperson of the White Bloc, Kadhim al-Shimmari, pointed out that “If the government tok the decision of raising the price of the gasoline liter, it will increase the prices of the public transports means and the food stuff.”

Shimmari mentioned in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”If the government really raised the price of the gasoline liter from IQD 450 to IQD 750, it will contribute in increasing the prices of the transports means as well as the increase in the prices of foods and goods.”

”Even if the International Monetary Fund pressurized Iraq to lift the governmental support for fuel and food stuff, Iraq has Oil resources that promoted the State budget to reach more than USD 100 billion and that can support ration card and fuel prices, ”the statement added. \
