2 new bridges to be established in Baghdad
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Baghdad Mayorship announced referring two new bridges for implementation and assigned a compan associated to the Ministry of Industry and Mineral with the task of implementing the bridges.
The Baghdad Mayorship quoted the Deputy Baghdad Mayor Abdul Hussein al-Murshidi as saying in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday that ”The Baghdad Mayorship referred the implementation of the first bridge in sector (55) of Sadr city at a cost of IQD (143,22) million and the second bridge of Jadiriyah area at cost of IQD (23,975) million.”
Murshidi pointed out that ”The implementation of these two bridges were referred, to the General Company of Designing and Industry Construction within the Ministry of Industry and Mineral, after endorsing the resolution of the committee of study and analysis,” noting that “The time table for the implementation of the two bridges will be (750) work days including the officials holydays and Fridays.”
The statement pointed out that ”The implementation of these two bridges is part of the plan of Baghdad Mayorship to upgrade the reality of the roads and reduce the traffic jams as well as improving the transports network in Baghdad,” stressing that ”The Baghdad Mayorship accomplished designs of (15) bridges on the main streets of Baghdad.”
