New water pumping station in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Karbala Governor Amal al-Din al-Hur on Saturday laid the foundation stone to start the project of a water pumping station in Karbala with a total cost of ID17 billion, said a member of the city’s provincial council. “The project is located near lake al-Razaza, (15 km) west of the Karbala,” Dr. Abbas Nasser Hassani told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that the project will be funded as part of the 2009 Provincial Development Budget (PDB). “The project will be implemented by a local company,” Hassani said.
