Official denies shortage in cooking Gas

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Company of Liquid Gas, within the Ministry of Oil denied “Any crisis in producing the cooking gas, accusing some media outlets of promoting for such a crisis.”

The Director General of the Company, Hamid Yunis Saleh, cited to IraqiNews.com, on Saturday “There is no any shoratge in providing the cooking gas and what was published by some media outlets is incorrect.”

“Regrettably some streets vendors exploited these rumors and began to promote about the crisis in order to raise the prices of the gas cylinders.”

The past few days witnessed clear rise in the prices of the cooking gas where the price of the cylinder reached IQD 15,000 after it was 6,000.
