Oil production up by 35,000 bpd
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Oil Ministry achieved an increase of 35,000 barrels per day (bpd) in crude oil production through Basra fields, a ministry spokesperson said on Saturday. “The increase came after the (state-run) South Oil Company started a new unit and linked a group of reformed wells,” Assim Jihad told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Company has a plan to increase production by 400,000 to 500,000 bpd within a year to one and a half years by drilling more than 70 wells,” he said.
