Pension law promises with close increase

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Economic and Investment Parliamentary Committee, Ibraheem al-Rekabi, announced that the pension law will grant an increase in the salaries of the retired people since the minimum salary will not be less than IQD(400,000) monthly.

He reported in statement to IraqiNews.com ”The increase will be applied after the endorsement of the pension law draft since the minimum salary for the retired people will be IQD (400,000) instead of IQD (200,000),” pointing out that ”Many economic law drafts are listed or will be listed on the agenda of the voting session.”

The statement added ”Many law drafts have been postponed such as the customs tariff due to the conflicts of the political opinions on this issue,” noting that “The custom tariff law is applied in the gulf countries and in the UAE.” \
