Plan to limit farmers’ immigration from Wassit’s rural areas

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The agricultural committee in Wassit drafted a plan of five stages to improve the province’s agricultural sector, and to limit farmers’ immigration from rural areas to cities, the director of Wassit agricultural management said on Wednesday. “The committee enforced the plan during its meeting today,” Engineer Salam Iskandar told IraqiNews.com news agency. “An urgent plan was also drafted by the committee, and will be executed prior to the five-stages plan, to deal with the issue of lack of irrigation water,” he added.
