PM calls on Arab companies to invest in Iraq
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki called on Arab companies to invest in Iraq and contribute in the reconstruction projects, al-Maliki’s office said in Wednesday. This came during a meeting with Head of Arab League mission to Iraq, Ambassador Hani Khalaf. “We feel happy when any Arab official visit Iraq. We want to boost relations with all Arab countries and we call on all Arab companies to invest in our country,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com, asserting that these companies will have a lot of concessions. He underlined Iraq’s people and government’s sympathy with the Palestinian people. For his part, Khalaf conveyed Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa’s greetings to al-Maliki, reiterating AL’s support to the efforts exerted by the government to realize security and stability.
