Rafidain Bank e-clearing project’s 1st stage finalized
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: B-Plan firm on Friday finalized the first stage of the government-owned al-Rafidain Bank’s e-clearing project as part of a program to restructure state banks, the firm’s CEO said on Friday. “The company has already started providing training courses for al-Rafidain staff as a second stage of the project,” Issa Bumuqaddam told IraqiNews.com. “The project should soundly contribute to catering for the requirements of restructuring banks in Iraq with the aim of improving performance and enabling banks, including al-Rafidain, to acquire better competitiveness,” said Bumuqaddam. B-Plan is a British-Kurdish firm specialized in developing instruments for the e-government’s executive management. Founded in the United Kingdom in 1993, the company has offices in Britain , Ukraine , Jordan and Iraq and has worked on 11 projects in Iraq and the autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan region. The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) and finance ministry had signed a memo of understanding to restructure the banks of al-Rafidain and al-Rasheed, which together control 90% of Iraq ‘s commercial banking activities.
