Russian Gazprom Co. concludes deal for oil drilling in Kurdistan

(IraqiNews.com) The Russian Gazprom Company for oil production concluded deal to establish project in oil sector in Kurdistan Region.

The Russian Enter Fax News Agency reported the Company’s First Deputy of the Executive Chief, Vadim Yakovlev, as saying “Gazprom Co. won 80% of Halabja project which is the third project for the company in Kurdistan Region.”

“Our near mission is to set a programme for drilling for oil and exploration processes while the investments were not identified yet where the drilling for oil processes will last for 7 years,” he added.

President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani has announced during his meeting with the head of the Gazprom Co. in Moscow that “The Company signed new contracts with Kurdistan Regional Government in oil sector, without mentioning further details, according to Enter Fax News Agency.
