Turkish delegation discusses new crossing point
DUHUK / IraqiNews.com: A Turkish commercial delegation on Wednesday started a visit to Duhuk city to discuss the possibility of opening a new crossing point, in addition to discussing methods to develop economic and commercial ties between the two sides, according to a businessman from Duhuk. “The delegation consists of 25 Turkish businessmen,” Reber Ibrahim told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A commercial protocol will be signed by the two sides,” he added. For his part, Sabeeha Qaihab, the head of the delegation, said that the visit “aims at establishing commercial relations with companies and businessmen in Kurdistan, and Iraq in general.” “This is the first visit of its kind to Iraq,” he said, noting that the visit aims also to study the possibility to open a commercial crossing with Kurdistan.
