U.S.-funded drinking water station in Wassit
WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A new U.S.-funded drinking water station was opened in Wassit at a total cost of $35,000, according to the province’s media director. “The project is located in Badra suburb on the borders with Iran, 90 km east of Kut city,” Majid al-Itabi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The project was wrapped up in one month,” he said. “It included a network of drinking water pipes that serves 300 houses,” he added. Kut, the capital city of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad. MH (P) / SS 1
