Water resources minister to head for Tehran to discuss water issue
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Water Resources Minister Jamal Rashied will head on Friday to Tehran to discuss the joint water issue between Iraq and Iran, the ministry said on Wednesday. “The water resources minister will head to Tehran on Friday leading a high-profile delegation to take part in the Iraqi-Iranian negotiations on the water issue,” the ministry said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Talks with the Iranian side are important and come within intensified Iraqi contacts with neighboring countries; Turkey, Iran and Syria regarding Iraq’s fair share of water,” the statement quoted the minister as saying.
