We started first steps to produce 100% Iraqi car, says Industry Minister

(IraqiNews.com) Babil – The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohammed Darraji, announced on Thursday reproducing “Reem” cars, which was previously used for public transport, emphasizing the start of the first steps for the production of an Iraqi car.
Darraji said in a press statement: “we asked the General Company for the automotive industry to re-produce Reem cars, which was used for public transport.”
Darraji added that “there are attempts to produce an Iraqi car 100%, but it takes time,” indicating that, “we have taken the first steps in that direction.”
