Better development in Iraqi prisons – Human Rights Ministry

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Human Rights Ministry Under-Secretary announced today that there are developments in Iraqi prisons and detention centers, expressing hopes for a better situation to reach the real human rights standards. In a statement issued by the ministry, as was received by IraqiNews.com, Undersecretary Hussein al-Zihairi reviewed in a meeting on the reports of the prisons in Baghdad and other provinces. He pointed out the developments occurred in this field and hoped for further better situations inside the prisons and detention centers. The meeting was attended by representatives from justice, interior, defence, works, health and human rights ministries. RM (TP)/SR 909
