Maliki should restore plundered house of famous Iraqi Artist
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi civil organization called on Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, to interfere to restore the house of the famous Iraqi Artist, Badri Hassoun Farid, that was confiscated by a group of armed men, and to order care for his deteriorated health condition and treatment, according to a statement on Wednesday. “A report by al-Arabiya TV Satellite Channel had reported last week the deteriorated conditions of the great Artist, Badri Hassoun Farid, who had lost his house, after its confiscation by an unknown armed group, along with his bad health situation, getting close to lose his sight,” the Da’imoun Gathering said in a statement, as was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Great Artist, Badri Hassoun Farid, had contributed in the Iraqi artistic march and had been one of the leaders of the Iraqi TV drama, whose works still remain in the memory of all Iraqis,” the statement said “It is so sad to see that great artist living in a small room he hired after the plundering of his house by an unknown armed group, along with the deterioration of his health and fear from losing his sight,” the statement said, calling on the Iraqi Prime Minister to take ‘urgent measures to save him from sickness and need, along with honoring him in a way that copes with his artistic reputation,’ it concluded.
