Women activists demand their participation in pacifying conditions in Iraqi Kurdistan

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A group of women activists, defending woman rights, reporters and former members of Kurdistan and Iraqi Parliaments, have demanded the participation of women in pacifying the situation in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.   The demand was issued by the Kurdish Anti-Mass Annihilation Institute, a non-governmental institute in Iraqi Kurdistan, led by the Leader in the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and former Minister and Kurdistan Parliament Member, Chinar Saad, who had organized a symposium, attended by women activists in Kurdisrtan.   “The Women Activists have demanded in their meeting to put an end for the media war among Kurdistan’s ruling parties and the opposition, in the nearest possible time and holding an urgent meeting, with no conditions between the ruling authority and the opposition,” Chinar Saad told IraqiNews.com news agency.   In conclusion, Chinar Saad, reiterated necessity to “grant great attention, to march forward in the administrative and political reform program by the Kurdistan Authority, being an important reform point to improve the conditions of women in Kurdistan and their participation in discussions among different parties, in the aim of pacifying the conditions and the implementation of the reform program in Kurdistan Region.”   SKH (RT)   961
