1st group of Iraqi refugees arrives in Germany
(IraqiNews.com) The first group of the Iraqi refugees arrived to Hanover city within an European plan to relocate 10000 Iraqi refugees.
State Secretary of the German Ministry of Interior, Christophe Bergner and the head of the Federal Service for Refugees, Manfred Schmidt, hoped these families will find Germany another home for them.
Sheltering the Iraqi refugees in Germany comes within the framework of an European plan to receive 10000 Iraqi refugees from Syria and Jordon, approved by the European Union in 2012.
Germany pledged according to this decision to shelter 2500 Iraqi refugees.
