Babel PC considers installing surveillances cameras

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) The local government in Babel province discussed with a Chinese company the possibility of installing surveillance cameras in the streets of Babel province.

The Deputy Governor of Babel province Ali Abed Suheal reported to IraqiNews.com on Friday that ”A Chinese delegation, which is specialized in installing surveillance cameras, visited Babel province and proposed an offer to install (433) cameras distributed in 129 main streets to provide the observation of civilians and recording traffic violations,” noting that “The cameras will be at certain specifications and they will be operated on solar energy.”

He added that ”The Chinese delegation has previously visited Babel province to discuss the same subject and the Local Government in Babel province is still studying it and the possibility to contract with the Chinese company.”

Babel Provincial Council announced on July,3rd allocating IQD (32) million form the Regions Development budget to install surveillance cameras in the public places and main streets.
