Basra Governor describes Federalism as "Best solution"

Basra (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Basra province, Majid al-Nasrawi, stated that there are some corruption files in executing the projects in the province, assuring that “Federalism is the best solution, but not at the current time.”

In a conference held by Basra Journalists Syndicate, he said “Basra province has a huge budget especially after the amendment of Law 21 of the provinces without region where 5 USD were added to each produced oil barrel.”

“Federalism is the best solution, but not at the current time,” he added, noting that “We are working on issuing decisions and laws that suit the needs of the citizens of Basra province.”
