Bodies of former head of Najaf Club and relative found after abduction in Baghdad
(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, a security source in Najaf province announced, that the security forces found the bodies of the former head of Najaf Club and one of his relatives east of the capital, three days after he was kidnapped by unknown assailants.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Security force found on Monday the bodies of the former head of Najaf FC, Sabah Al-Kraawi and one of his relatives lying on the side of the road in the Canal Zone, east of Baghdad,” noting that, “Al-Kraawi and one of his relatives were abducted three days ago by unidentified gunmen when they were in Baghdad. ”
The source, who asked not to be named, added, “The kidnappers demanded a ransom from Al-Kraawi’s family,” noting that, “His family paid the ransom but were never contacted by anyone afterwards.”
The source noted that security forces transferred the bodies to the Forensic Medicine department, and opened an investigation about the incident.
