Cabinet allocates IQD 200 billion to repair marshes
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Housing and Construction, Mohamed Saheb al-Daraji, announced that “The General Commission for roads and bridges within the Ministry of Transports accomplished the projects of establishing roads of (Selimiya, Bawiya and al-A’arij) within the projects which aim to repair marshes in Maysan province.
Al-Draji reported in statement to IraqiNews.com that ”These roads are considered under the projects of repairing marshes,” noting that “The total length of these roads reached (18 KM) with a cost that exceeded IQD (3) billion.”
He added that ”All the projects were under supervision of the engineers cadres of Directorate of Roads and Bridges in Maysan province,” stressing that “These roads will be helpful for the people of the province and they will participate in facilitating the vehicles movement and stimulate economic situation in the province.”
The Secretariat General of the Cabinet has already allocated IQD (200) billion to conduct projects that aim to repair marshes in Basra, Dhi-Qar and Maysan province. \
