BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Ahrar bloc MP Jalila al-Sa’idi called on the Iraqi Foreign Ministry to determine its stance on the to Arab League‘s resolution on Syrian membership suspension. In a statement, copy received by IraqiNews.com, she added that the foreign ministry should explain the Iraqi stand when voting, as well exposing the justifications and positive matters related to Iraqi stand, whether it is with the government or the people. The Arab League decided to suspend Syrian membership in the organization, calling member states to withdraw their ambassadors from Damascus. The resolution was approved by 18 Arab countries, three against (Syria, Lebanon and Yemen) and Iraqi abstention. Syrian cities are facing protest demonstrations against Asad regime since last March. A UN report said that more than 3500 killings took place during these demonstrations.
