CoM approves financial support for Syrian refugees

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Council of Ministers agreed to allocate IQD 15 billion to support Syrian displaced people and refugees in Iraq who escaped from the ongoing violence in their country.

The Ministry of Displacement and Migration Undersecretary Salam al-Khafaji said during a press conference held at the Iraqi Parliament after being hosted by the Parliamentary Committee of the Refugees and displaced people attended by the correspondent of Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Sunday that “The Prime Minister agreed to allocate an amount of IQD [15] billion for the displaced Syrians in Iraq” noting that “Syrian displaced people who arrived in Iraq exceeded 100,000 persons.”
