Exclusive documents: Maliki bought Kurdistan oil for a third presidential term

IraqiNews.com has got exclusive documents showing the previous government of Nouri al-Maliki’s signature on an oil deal with the Kurdistan Regional Authorities to hand over a 100 000 barrels of oil a-day to al-Maliki’s government in exchange for two billion dollars provided to support the region nominating al-Maliki for a third presidential term.

The document issued by the North Oil Company and addressed to the Ministry of Natural Resources in Kurdistan shows the approval of the Federal Ministry of Oil in Maliki’s government. The document specified the quantities and how the oil is to move through pipelines.

On the other hand, a document was issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan region and addressed to the North Oil Company showing full details on how to start pumping oil, agreed on with Baghdad government.
