ISIL flag downed in Mosul

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A group of young men in Mosul city succeeded to down the flag of the terrorist ISIL gangs from the top of Nineveh Governorate building.

Statement by the member of the Independent Human Rights Commission Sallama al-Khafaji received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday cited “Khafaji discussed with a group of MPs from Nineveh province and members of Nineveh Provincial Council the security situation in the province and current preparations to liberate the province from ISIL.”

The statement added “The delegation assured for Khafaji that a group of young men in Mosul city succeeded to down the flag of the terrorist ISIL from the top of several buildings, including the governorate building, which made the elements of the terrorist ISIL to launch an arrest campaign and search for the location of making the Iraqi flag.”

Khafaji emphasized according to the statement “The necessity of solidarity among all Iraqis to confront their mutual enemy represented by the terrorist ISIL organization through supporting the Iraqi Security Forces.”

The statement also mentioned that Nineveh delegation confirmed that the patriotic feelings are growing more and more among the residents of Nineveh province. /End/
