Karbala prepares security plan ahead of Muharram

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) The health department of Karbala province declared preparing a plan to cover the martyrdom commemoration of Imam Hussein which will be dated on the 10th of Muharram.

The director of Karbala health department, Alaa Bader, stated to the correspondent of IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”This year, we prepared our plan ahead of schedule because of the pilgrimage of Eid al-Adha, which witnessed arrival of three million pilgrims in Karbala province, which increased the level of preparations for the pilgrimage of Muharram.”

He added ”The Ministry of Health allocated IQD (3) billion to execute the security plan which will be implemented in coordination with the health committee of Karbala province in addition to the Middle Euphrates Operations Command.”

He pointed out ”The plan included deploying medical patrols at the entrances and exits of Karbala province in addition to conducting precautionary measures to prevent spreading of diseases.”

He continued saying that ”The plan suffers of the shortage of the medical specialists and the difficulty in transportation of ambulances since most of the roads will be closed.” \
