Karkh Criminal Court sentences terrorist woman for 2 life imprisonment in Diyala

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Central Criminal Court issued two life imprisonment sentences against woman convicted for being a member of the Qaeda Organization in Diyala province.

A statement by the Supreme Judicial Council cited “The Central Criminal Court in Karkh side, sentenced the convicted woman (M. A. A) for life imprisonment according to (Article No. 4) of Anti-Terrorism Law, under charges of belonging to Qaeda in Diylala province.”

“The General Prosecution demanded to tighten the penalty to death penalty. It is hoped to settle the matter during the next few days by the Cassation Court,” noting that “The convicted woman faces 23 other cases for committing terrorist operations and recruiting female suicide bombers for favor of Qaeda in Diyala,” the statement added.
