Maysan PC rejects resolution for granting financial allocations to members of Baath Party

Maysan (IraqiNews.com) Maysan Provincial Council condemned the resolution issued by the Council of Ministers presidency over granting members of the dissolved Baath Party financial allocations with retroactive effect.

The head of the security committee at Maysan PC, Sarhan Salim al-Ghalibi, told Iraqi News “The Iraqi Government is supposed to pay attention to the victims’ families, increase the salaries of the social care and employ the jobless people before heading towards spending financial allocations of IQD 15 million for each member of the dissolved Baath Party.”

Earlier, some media outlets have reported that the Iraqi Federal Government decided to grant members of Baath Party financial allocations with retroactive effect.
