MoE, develops 3 plans to solve electricity crisis in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Electricity announced developing three plans (short, middle, long) term plans to develop the electricity situation and solve electricity crisis in Iraq.The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Electricity, Musab al-Mudaris, reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The plans, which were submitted for the Oil and Energy Parliamentary Committee and the Energy Committee of the Council of Ministers, did not witness any delay where it began since 2006 and for ten years,” noting that ”The plans, that were developed by the Ministry of Electricity also aim to achieve a surplus in producing electricity power.”Iraq suffers of huge shortage of electricity power though all the funds and huge budgets were allocated for this sector where the funds that were spent on electricity reached USD (27) billion.According to some politicians the funds that were allocated for developing the electricity power were lost due to financial corruption by concluding fake contracts and other scam ways. \END\
