MoST compensate affected families of Ishtar Complex’s fire

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Sciences and Technology Abdul Karim al-Samarrai instructed to compensate the families affected by the fire, which broke out in Ishtar housing complex that belongs to the Ministry, with IQD (5) million for each family.

The Ministry of Sciences and Technology reported in a statement to IraqiNews.com that ”The Minister met the families who live in the housing complex and assured that the funds are allocated to help them and relief the damages which affected them.”

The statement added that ”The people who live in the housing complex formed a committee to find fast solutions for the people who were affected by the fire.”

Huge fire broke out in Ishtar housing complex which belongs to the Ministry of Sciences and Technology due to an electric short circuit near Diyala bridge area of southern Baghdad on last July.

About ten houses were entirely burned due to the fire without any human casualties.
