Nasrawi instructs to remove threats for consulates from Basra streets
Basra (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Basra province Majid al-Nasrawi instructed to remove all the leaflets and slogans which carry threats for the foreign consulates and companies operating in Basra province from the streets on the background of closing the Turkish Consulate and departure of the Turkish Consul to the State of Kuwait on Tuesday.
Speaking to IraqiNews.com, Nasrawi said “The local government took all necessary legal procedures against those who carried the slogans which arouse hatred and sectarianism or threats for the consulates and oil companies operating in Basra province.”
“We reject any violence or violation for the rights of the foreign citizens in Basra province,” he stressed.
