New earthquake shakes Baghdad – 4 Iraqi provinces

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) New earthquake hit Baghdad and four other Iraqi provinces with a magnitude of 5 degrees on the Richter scale.

A source from Iraqi Seismology and Meteorology Center stated to Iraqi News Sunday “The earthquake hit Baghdad, Kirkuk, Diyala, Erbil and Sulaimaniya,” expecting further earthquakes during Sunday night.

The source added “The earthquake was of a magnitude of 5.3 degrees on Richter scale.”

It is worth to mention that no human casualties or material damage were registered due to the earthquakes in Iraq.
