Nineveh organizes workshop to discuss regional development plans

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The Planning Department within Nineveh Governorate organized a workshop to discuses the regional development plan of 2012.

The reporter of IraqiNews.com stated that “The Governor of Nineveh province Atheel al-Nijaifi confirmed, in his speech during the symposium which was held at the Engineers Hall in Mosul and lasted for three days, the importance of focusing on big strategic projects within the regional development plan because these projects can achieve the public interests and upgrad the province.”

The Governor added that “The small projects, which can be hundreds, do not achieve the public interest and face obstacles in implementing them within limited duration as well as other problems in accomplishing them.”

Nijaifi continued saying that “The Governorate has allocated sufficient funds within the budget of regional development of 2012 in addition to the funds which will be added from the public budget, of about IQD (250) billion, after the resolution of the Cabinet to return the funds for Nineveh province.”
