No security violation or incident took place in Karbala during Imam Hussein’s Martrydom Day

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: The Number of Shiite visitors for the sacred Shiite city of Karbala on occasion of Imam Hussein’s Martyrdom Day that took place at the dawn of Islam, has reached 15 millions, and no security violation or incident took place over the past few days,Karbala Governor, Amaluddin al-Hir said on Saturday.”Visitors are still visiting Karbala City to commemorate the 40h Day Anniversary of Imam Hussein’s Martrydom, since 14 days and their number had reached 15 millions till Saturday morning,” the Governor told a news conference, attended by IraqiNews.com news agency. He aid the visitors numbers “are increasing and millions of other visitors are still coming to the city from all directions,” adding that “the visit had been successful on all levels, being the first visit of its kind, implemented under Iraqi security and service plans, after the withdrawal of the US forces from Iraq couple of weeks ago.”The Shiite holy city of Karbala had witnessed over the past 2 weeks millions of visitors from different parts of Iraq and other world states to commemorate the anniversary of Imam Hussein’s Martyrdom Day, where visitors are heading on foot to visit the holy shrines of ImamHussein and his Brother, Abu-al-Fadl al-Abbas, who were martyred at the dawn of Isam.
