Preparations start to transfer 7th group of MKO to Liberty Camp
Diyala (IraqiNews.com) The Mayor of Khalis district, Uday al-Khadran, confirmed starting preparations to transfer the seventh group of the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq Organization of about 680 persons from Camp Ashraf.
In a statement to Iraqi News, he said “200 residents will remain in the Camp Ashraf in order to sell the furniture and contents of Camp Ashraf.”
Khadran stressed that “The procedure of selling the contents of the camp is illegal since these contents were bought by Iraqi funds during the time of the former regime.”
“The date of departure of the seventh group of the MKO from Camp Ashraf will be on September, 12,” he concluded.
