Protestors threaten to stage sit-in if Government ignores their demands
Wasit (IraqiNews.com) The protesters in Wasit province, who are demanding to cancel pension of MPs and the three Presidencies, threaten to stage a sit-in at the end of October.
The correspondent of IraqiNews.com reported that ”The demonstrators , who gathered in front of the building of Provincial Council of the province, demanded to cancel the pension of the members of the Parliament and the three presidencies in addition to accelerate endorsing the elections law and the laws in the favor of citizens such as the Public Retirement Law.”
“The demonstrators threaten to coordinate with other provinces and stage a sit-in in front of the building of the Parliament in case the Government does not respond for their demands,” the correspondent added.
Wide demonstrations launched in several southern provinces such as Babel, Diwaniya and Najaf on Saturday morning demanding to cancel the pension of the members of the Parliament and the three presidencies. \END\
